Taster Lunch

MY REFLECTION

On Friday 19th of September Rooms 22, 21 and 19 had a taster lunch because in our inquiry we are learning about peace so to understand each other better we had a taster lunch.I tried a hole lot of new and different foods.I especially liked the pizza bread I brought in.It was a fun day, now I understand why people are the way they are and why they eat that food.

I was learning to write a peace sense poem.I found this activity fun but a little hard trying to put the photo were I wanted it to go.I worked with Annea and we did a great job on this poem.

I enjoyed comparing different traditional stories and want to do it again.Next time I do this again I would like to come up with more similaraties than this time.

I think that my speech is good and is got a lot of good true facts.I need to improve on my speed, I need to slow down, and expression. Next time I do a speech I would like to enter to compete against other people.

I really enjoyed taking photos in photography.I liked taking photos as snails view,possum view,and eye level.I also liked it when Chevelle came in and taught us other ways of taking photos.

I really enjoyed hockey field day and would love to do it again,even though I got hurt a lot of times.I could improve on spreading out and dodging.

 I was working with Kendra while doing this decimal match.I found this a little tricky but started to get the hang of it,I was using what I already know to help me figure out the answers.Mrs Walker came to help me and Kendra with some of it.I think we did pretty well doing this decimal match.

Bike Skills Certificate

MY REFLECTION

I am proud of my certificate and think I deserve it since I put in a lot of effort when riding the bikes.I really enjoyed scooting and indicating on the bikes but need to work on my balance when doing the tortoise race.I can't wait until next time I do bike skills.

I was learning to describe two characters or two people I know in the style of hooray for Howard,I did me and Kendra.We had to use commas,dashes,colons and brackets.I found this easy but a little hard trying to put brackets into my writing.

Bike Skills Wk 4

MY REFLECTION

In this photo I was learning to stand up while riding a bike. First we had to get our balance and ride normally then when we got our balance we could stand up while pedalling. My favourite skill is scooting when you stand on one side of the bike and put your opposite foot on the peddle and push off.  

Persuasive poster

MY REFLECTION

We were learning to use features of persuasive poster. We used a rhetorical questions,good use of pictures,described the good things and the benefits,a slogan,not to much detail but enough to sell camp,and bold eye catching words and letters. I am proud of my poster, and my group for all the hard work we put into it. Next time I would like to work on cutting out the coloured card under the writing and pictures, just cut it more strait and neater.

I was learning to use what I already know to help me with the answers. I worked with Kendra and Rlisha, we worked really well together and were very quick at finding the word we for looking up so we got a lot done.

I am really good at my basic fact tests and am proud of myself for the scores I have got.
My personal goal is to get 100/100 in under five minutes.

I can achieve my goal by practicing more at home and getting timed when i'm doing my basic facts.
Term 2 Week 8 reflection:
I am proud of the score I got in week 8.I have dropped a few times but I always shoot right up.

MY REFLECTION ON TERM 3
In term 3 I was doing the best I have ever did on my basic facts test because I am used to the questions that are on the sheet.My best time so far is when I got within three minutes.I have got very good at maths.

MY GOAL FOR TERM 4
My goal for term 4 is to catch up to Ethan when we are doing basic facts test.I can do this by trying extra hard at home.

I found this a little hard figuring out the answer but then I realised that you add the 4 and the 8 because there is 8 eighths in one whole, to get the answer 12 eighths. I need to work on more of these so I can improve. My basic facts will help me.

I found the big jump a little hard but also found it fun at the same time.I got stuck on the second one but then I got the hang of it.

I found Popplet very fun and easy.I found it  hard to find a strategy to come up with though because i don't know much. I need to work on the place value strategy where I learn to split numbers up.

I am proud of this picture because I tried my hardest in this activity without me standing on the wrong square. I learnt that you have to pay full attention while other people step so you can make it across.I like this photo because it is one of the photos where I'm not pulling a silly face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
